Horses Bransle

Double-Circle Dance for as many couples as will (holding both hands, ladies in the inner circle)

The chorus doesn’t usually repeat.

Instructions

A – Go a Double clockwise and back. Do this four times total.

B1 – Men paw ground twice with right foot, step to the right, then turn over their left shoulder to move up the hall.
B2 – Women paw ground twice with right foot, step to right, then turn over their left shoulder to move slightly down the hall and end in front of a new partner.

Men move up one position each repetition, changing partners.

NOTE: The dance can also be done without changing partners, or done in a line, holding both hands, but the Man at the top of the hall must run to the bottom at the end of B2.
